TagMyRun – Early βeta Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 November 2025

1. What TagMyRun does

TagMyRun is an experimental tool that uses AI to detect bib numbers in race photos and returns CSV, JSON, and XMP files you can use in your own workflows.

This service is currently in early βeta. That means:

  • Features may change or break without notice.
  • Performance and accuracy are still being tuned.
  • There is no uptime or support guarantee.

You should treat TagMyRun as a tool that helps you, not as a system you fully rely on for critical operations.

2. Who can use the service

By using TagMyRun, you confirm that:

  • You have permission to upload the photos you send to the service.
  • You will not upload anything illegal or abusive.
  • You are responsible for how you use the outputs.

If you are using TagMyRun on behalf of a club, team, or event, you are responsible for having the necessary rights to the images and data.

3. Ownership of photos and results

  • You keep all rights to your photos.
  • TagMyRun does not claim ownership of any images you upload.
  • The CSV/JSON/XMP results generated from your photos are for you to use and integrate into your own tools and platforms.

TagMyRun only processes your files in order to run the service and generate results.

4. Data handling and retention (summary)

TagMyRun stores and processes:

  • The photos you upload
  • Bib-number results and batch metadata
  • Your email address and basic technical logs

To help protect your privacy:

  • Photos and batch results are automatically deleted after 48 hours (as currently designed).
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • Third-party providers are used only where necessary (for example: hosting, database, email delivery).

A more detailed privacy statement will be provided as the project matures.

5. No guarantees (disclaimer)

TagMyRun is an early βeta service. While we aim to produce accurate, useful results, we cannot guarantee:

  • That detections will be correct in every image, or
  • That the service will be available at all times, or
  • That it will behave exactly as described in every environment.

The CSV/JSON/XMP files you download are intended as assistance, not as a substitute for your own checks. You are responsible for reviewing results and for any changes you make to your photo libraries or sales platforms based on those results.

6. Guidance only – always check official documentation

TagMyRun may provide examples or guides showing how to use CSV/JSON/XMP files with third-party tools (for example: SmugMug, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, Darktable, or other platforms).

  • These guides are informational only and may change or become outdated.
  • The official documentation of each third-party tool is the final authority on how to import, edit, or export your data.
  • You are responsible for double-checking any critical steps (such as bulk updates, metadata writing, or deletion operations) before applying them to your own libraries or customer galleries.

7. Changes to the service or these terms

TagMyRun is actively being improved and may change at any time. These terms may also be updated occasionally to reflect new features or legal requirements.

When that happens, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of TagMyRun after changes means you accept the updated terms.
